We’re hiring a game developer to help build and scale a mobile game with deep progression, systems-heavy gameplay, and live-service complexity. You’ll help design and implement new game mechanics and features, contributing across both engineering and gameplay systems. This role is open for full remote work.
What You’ll Do
Build and maintain core game systems and backend services
Design and implement new game mechanics and features
Contribute to progression systems, live-service features, and other player-facing functionality
Collaborate on both technical and gameplay design decisions
Help improve performance, reliability, and long-term scalability
Technical Qualifications
4+ years of professional software development experience
Strong Golang experience required
Strong knowledge of algorithms, scalability, and backend architecture
Experience with relational databases preferred
Postgres experience preferred
Dart experience optional
Flutter experience optional
Kubernetes, GCP, and Redis experience is a plus
Game / Product Background
Game development experience preferred
Mobile app development experience preferred
Familiarity with mobile games preferred
Strong familiarity with game mechanics and systems found in games such as Diablo, Path of Exile, Torchlight, and Last Epoch strongly preferred
Game design sense and ability to think through player-facing systems is a plus
Experience with live-service games is a plus
Understanding of progression systems, itemization, combat systems, or economy design is a plus
